It was a group interview where we were split into groups of 2 and had to go around the store and style an outfit that fit a specific scenario and explain it to the group. We were also asked questions about ourselves and our availability.

I interviewed at Dangerfield (Abbotsford) in Jun 2017
Interview
I applied online and got a call to come into the head office for a group interview a few days later, I had to cancel my shift at my current job to make it that day, wish I didn't.
The whole process was... bizarre. It felt like a game show and we were all contestants. I can understand Dangerfield would get a lot of people applying so they want to mix it up and try something different. The interview went for around 45 minutes, we had the weird ice breaker questions, the get to know your partner exercise, and a few group scenario questions.
We had to pick an outfit off a small rack for an occasion we were given and had about a minute, this was hard as there were 10 other people trying to grab whatever suited them and nothing on the rack really suited my occasion, it was a very small selection. We then had to sell it to the interviewers.
With this process I don't feel I got to show my best, everyone else in the group interview all looked uncomfortable and nervous and we were all fumbling with our words and I don't think any of them got to show what they are capable of either. There were 2 girls who were trying the interview a second time as they didn't get an offer at the start of the year. I couldn't put myself through that a second time.
