I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Databricks (New York, NY)
Interview
A hiring manager reached out to me and scheduled interview. Another interviewer spoke to me on the day of interview and seemed to be in a hurry and not interested to hear about my experience. The conversation was over in 15 mins, in which he made a decision that I dont have experience. He didnt ask any meaningful questions to gain insights into my experience in those few minutes. He said he will forward the resume to the team. After few days i got an email that they dont want to move forward. I didnt care as I had lost interest in the company after experiencing the interview.
Databricks needs to train their hiring team to improve the hiring experience and ask relevant questions.
I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter for an initial call. My background and experience were not aligned with the role, so we did not proceed to the next round.
Unfortunately, the interview experience was not very positive. The recruiter was late to the scheduled call, and the communication style felt somewhat one-sided and pushy rather than collaborative. I would have appreciated a more balanced and respectful conversation.
Multiple rounds of interview , take home assessment was not very tough . But panel presentation round was tough , it seems they want candidate who can wow them even though all rounds went fine .
I go the first phone call which went pretty well. Then I passed a first panel round on simple architecture. Did first round technical round, but never heard back again.
