I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Datadog in Oct 2022
Interview
Recruiter call, followed by a screening call with the hiring manager. Left with a bad taste in my mouth after the call as the HM came off as arrogant and a "you'll be lucky if we hire you" attitude. Nevertheless, they wanted to move forward. The next step was a tech-challenge where they want you to install and configure various part of the datadog platform. Took me about 4-5 hours. I sent it in, and didn't hear back from anyone as many others here. After 2 weeks (!!!), when I moved on with my life, they emailed me out of the blue and said that "we are not a good match". Warning: do not apply or waste your time with datadog. They have a very toxic sales culture and even more toxic recruiting process.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Datadog (Paris)
Interview
I had a very disappointing experience with Datadog's recruitment process. After making it to the final round for a Solutions role, I later learned that recruiters had contacted former colleagues at my current company to ask for feedback about me. This information made its way back internally, putting my current job at risk. Not only is this highly unprofessional, but it also raises serious confidentiality concerns. I would caution candidates to be aware of this before applying.

I applied online. I interviewed at Datadog (Amsterdam) in Oct 2024
Interview
It had 4 phases: HR, HM, Tech Assessment, Panel.
The tech assessment was made with an online platform, and it was really simple.
In the panel I had to talk about a topic where I was good technically and the interviewers acted like customers making questions etc (be really prepared on that). They payed me all the travel expenses since this last one was face-to-face
