I applied online. I interviewed at Delaware Public Archives in Jul 2012
Interview
Hiring process was pretty simple: submit online application with work and education history and they will contact you. When someone called me for an interview she didn't seem to realize I lived 6 hours away from Dover, and it was only when I said I had never been there before that she decided to switch me to a phone interview instead of in person. The job title only stated the classification level and did not specify ANY of the duties involved in the job. In fact, nothing on the application gave any indication as to the nature of the job I was applying to. The questions were all very broadly about organizing records and customer service. It was only when I had the interview that I found out it was for a Records Analyst position. The entire interview took about 15 minutes and they said they were interviewing 15 candidates!

Question 1
They asked me to define several records management terms which I had never even heard before. This is especially strange given that no records management experience or education was required for the position.
