I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Deriv.com in May 2024
Interview
What a joke of a company.
A recruiter arranged a first round interview with me. The company had booked in an hour. Two interviewers, one HR type person and one technical person (software engineer I think).
From my perspective the interview went really well, I had great rapport with the interviewers, I answered all their questions well (soft skill or technical).
Their feedback after a few days was "we could see he was technically talented and a fit in that regard, but we didn't feel like he was interested in the role because he was slouching on his chair so we don't think he's the right cultural fit"
I wasn't slouching... It was the angle of my laptop (upward facing).
What a ridiculous reason to reject someone, either they're lying or just idiotic. Stay clear of companies like this.
