I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Deseret First Credit Union (Orem, UT) in Jan 2015
Interview
Phone interview that lasted about 30 minutes, then in person interview that lasted about an hour. The interview was based on behavioral questions. Very laid back and welcoming. One of the best interviews I have had (probably only because of the manager that was interviewing me. It changes for every branch.)
I'm glad your experience was great. Thank you for your review!

Application
I interviewed at Deseret First Credit Union (Murray, UT)
Interview
First, I had a phone screen with an HR rep that was very generic and “why are you interested in this position”, and also making sure I’d be available for the set in stone and mandatory training days at the operations center, if I got the job. Then, passing the phone screen, I was scheduled for an in-person interview at a physical branch location with the branch manager. (The assistant manager was also present during my interview and asked a couple questions, but mostly sat in while the branch manager led.)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
At the in person interview, I was asked mostly typical customer service interview questions, like “how would you handle [scenario example of a difficult customer]”, or “how do you handle stress and keep a positive attitude”, etc. I was also asked to on the spot “sell” a random object off the manager’s desk to her; like an on the spot roleplaying/demonstration of my ability to talk with and attempt to sell something to a random customer.

Interview
The initial vetting process was you record yourself answering interview questions, and then if you seemed to be a fit for the job you were brought in for a formal interview.
