I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DesignMind (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2018
Interview
Spoke with an internal resource and was sent a coding test. The phone conversation part was nice and having met some of the team, everyone I met is extremely competent. Comfortable interview. Seems like a great place to work.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The coding test is a series of puzzles definitely not something I do on any sort of regular basis. It's the hardest one I've ever encountered. I would highly recommend that you review SQLlite or PLSQL Syntax unless you write with those regularly. Maybe it's the fact that I haven't done puzzle code in years but it surprised me.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DesignMind (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2013
Interview
I had worked with the company in the past, so it was more informal. We went out to lunch and discussed the future of the company/their current needs/plans for growth. It was a good conversation that left me feeling very excited about the opportunity. Interviews for other roles are always more structured, with phone screens, technical skills assessments, in-house interview, and reference and background checks, etc. But these are really great people, and candidates are never thrown down the interview gauntlet. We want to hire great people, to join a great company-and deliver the best service and solutions to our clients possible. And have some fun along the way.

Logistical questions about my current schedule, where I could add real value to the business now and in the future.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DesignMind
Interview
The process for me was really based on prior experience with the owners, as I had done work for them in the past on a contract basis before joining the company
