I applied and was contacted about a phone interview a few days later. After the phone interview I didn't hear back for over a week and then after multiple emails was told they wanted someone with a different skill set.
Recruiter reached out to m and set up an appointment for a general screening phone call, had to reschedule last minute. Interview went fine, I reached out and she prompted me tp apply online and then stopped being responsive to my messages.

Interview
Everyone seemed very enthusiastic about their job and knowledgeable. I was told my resume was handpicked from the stack by the manager and that is why I got an interview.

They asked some statistics questions but mostly it was just questions around resume items and what I learned from them.

The position appears on the internal career page and someone got hired externally. Despite having knowledge and experience they will hire only if you have some recommendations from the managers.
