I applied online. I interviewed at Digital Empowerment Foundation
Interview
I applied for the job by submitting my resume, and they assigned me a task, which I completed and submitted. After that, HR scheduled an on-site interview at their Kalu Sarai headquarters. I went to their office for the interview.
During the interview, there was an HR representative along with the Head of Communications. The Comms guy was the one asking the questions. At one point, the conversation turned to the nature of the role, and he mentioned that it would involve a lot of writing. He then claimed that he thought I had zero writing experience. At that moment, I had to inform him that I am actually a recipient of the National Media Awards (Print Media) and had included my writing portfolio link in the resume.
In short, the Comms guy hadn't bothered to review my resume. At the end of the interview, he said he would send me some writing assignments to assess my writing skills. The twist? I never received any assignments.
