There were 3 rounds, first 2 rounds interviewer were good they asked about current projects, technologies and aws infra, now comes the third round, this round was with the hiring manager, he himself joined 15 mins late, after that he said I can not see you even though my camera was on, then I rejoined still he was not able to see me, ultimately he understood he is having the internet problem so he rejoined after 2-3 mins, around 20 mins are gone. Now he started asking about the current project, technologies and my experience in those, 10 mins went in that. Then he asked some other questions and gave me system design problem of Airbnb, I started asking him the requirements, his response was you implement it first, I noted all the functional and non functional requirements and asked him to review if these looks fine, first he didn’t reply, when I asked again he said yeah go ahead with the implementation, seems like he was working on something, I started the implementation and in mid way time ran out and stopped me 2 mins before the time. Later I checked with HR, he said I have been rejected and the feedback is I am not good on the architecture side, they are judging you without giving you complete time, this will create a self doubt on the candidate whether his skills are good or not. Can’t do anything if you get to face such incompetent person in an interview who don’t know much about the things and being judged by someone is an irony.
