Major red flags to not caring for employee's well being.
Was heavily courted for a position, had good conversations with the recruiter and then a very positive long conversation with the hiring manager.
During the follow up conversation with the recruiter I enquired about benefits including parental leave. The recruiter actually had no idea what I meant by parental leave. "Oh, you mean MATERNITY leave??" he asked, incredibly puzzled as to why I would call it parental leave.
I never heard a word from the company after that.
