I applied online. I interviewed at Dolls Kill (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
They don't know how to hire or ask questions. It's a typical retail startup and they mean well, but it seems like emotions are involved in the hiring process. They are also going to be hesitant to hire you if you are poor so beware of that. I mentioned walking and the hiring person literally turned up their nose. They don't follow up and they don't seem to have a dedicated hiring manager. Either that or they're just terrible at it.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Dolls Kill in Sept 2019
Interview
The interview process was easy and simple. Checked in the front and had to fill out a small quiz on customer service. Then I was asked a series of question in regards to the job and my skill set.
Submitted an application, received an email and was asked to answer additional questions, and then it moved on to a phone interview. I really don't think they read the email I sent back in response, considering they asked the same questions during the interview. Interviewer seemed tired and uninterested in talking to me. Got an email the next morning informing me that they didn't want to hire me.
I have interviewed with Dolls Kill on two seperate occasions. My first interview was great and the actual CEO of the company interviewed me. I really loved everything about Dolls Kill and I appreciated that they were very upfront with me about the salary before continuing in the interview process. Unfortunately at that time the salary didn't meet my rewuirements but I still was left with a positive impression of the company. However, when I reapplied to a different position a couple months later it was a total 180 from what I experienced previously. I've had to reschedule my interview twice because the Recruiter simply has forgotten both of our appointments and I had to reach out each time to reschedule. I'm still waiting back to get the third interview scheduled at this time. I even asked if they were actively still hiring since it seems like the Recruiter isn't making interviewing for the open position a priority.
