I was recently given a product assignment by Domestika, asking me to develop what was essentially a full-fledged AI companion product — including a working prototype, 1-year roadmap, GTM strategy, content plan, system architecture, and A/B testing cycles. In short, a complete product strategy and execution plan for a startup-level initiative.
While the assignment itself was ambitious (borderline exploitative for an interview), what followed was worse: Domestika, shared the wrong email address for submission. A follow-up email was sent to correct it, but even that address bounced back when I submitted — after spending two full days completing the task.
A company that emphasizes creativity and excellence can't even ensure basic communication hygiene during its hiring process.
Clown-level communication from their side
Domestika: if you're going to ask for free labor that could easily pass for a paid consulting project, at the very least, get the submission email address right.
