I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at DrDoctor (London, England) in Aug 2022
Interview
Online technical interview for 90 minutes.
There are some issues which are follows:
1. Techinal test (major issue)
After a quick 5 minute intro, you have a 45 minute technical test in VS with the interviewers watching.
You are expected to talk through what you are doing at the same time as doing the actual test. This would be possible if you were just left to do the work and then explain what you did, but doing both (work and talking) at the same time takes too long.
This also comes across as an issue of trust, I can understand if the role was for a junior / dev 1 level, but for a senior role it is ridiculous.
The company would be far better off giving the test as homework a few days before the interview, then during the interview you can have a discussion about the completed test.
The interviewers mentioned that the company is big on pair programming, which explains a lot. For myself, pair programming is fine for teaching, but not for general development.
2. Interviewers (minor issue)
Both the interview developers are mid-level developers. Normally, technical interviews will at least have a technical manager / team lead / lead developer / senior developer involved in the interview process.

Question 1
Talk through a large piece of work you have done in a previous company and mention if there were any issues that had to be solved while doing this work.
