Dtouch were initially highly responsive and requested an urgent remote retouching test (unpaid) which took several hours. After submitting the test they chose to ghost me instead of responding to my attempts to receive feedback. The test itself wasn't well-engineered. It contained an erroneous file and they were cagey about specific details of the test when asked for clarity stating 'we prefer to see what you come up with'. This was a red flag - as a candidate I'm looking to work for a company where management displays support and a path to success, not the opposite. Some of the test tasks were repetitive (don't make a candidate do the same thing twice, it's a waste of everyone's time). Ultimately it was disappointing that this was a company who lacked such respect for their candidates. Yes - we are all used to being ghosted when we apply for jobs. But if someone makes the effort to sign your NDA and spend some hours on a test for you, at the very least follow through with a official rejection if they are not a fit. Ghosting not cool, Dtouch.
