+/- 10 questions. Interviewer was clearly distracted making food in the microwave while on the call. It did not feel like the interviewer was 'present' - many background distractions and asking questions about items I just explained in the previous question(s). The interviewer actually said she thought the job title was 'misleading' and explained that an individual in this role would need to be available 7 days a week, including nights. Pay rate quoted $15 an hour, plus mileage. My understanding from the interviewer was that turnover for the role was an issue, though when I questioned this, the interviewer backed off. It really felt like the interviewer, whom noted that her role was remote, did not care much at all about the interview or me (not listening, lack of professionalism, inferred (my opinion) poor work conditions, noted a there's a pay increase possibly (didn't feel authentic) coming (October '23) for this position of an additional $1 or $2 additional an hour - dangling a 'carrot' in front of me. It REALLY felt like the interviewer was covering for a low pay position. Takeaways: unprofessional first touch by the interviewer representing an organization that is trying to do the right thing. Interviewer was late to the call. Interviewer was highly distracted. Interviewer asked questions with low or no indication of understanding of my previous responses. Several red flags throughout the 22-minute interview. Simply stated: APPROACH WITH CAUTION.
