      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at E Ink (Boston, MA) in Jun 2015

      Interview

I received an e-mail from an E Ink recruiter with a job description that I found interesting but a little vague. I wrote her asking for more details and she replied stating that they would like to speak to one of their PIs. He calls me later and it turned into an interview. He seemed nice and he just told me about the job and asked me if I knew about my CV and my experience with MATLAB, estimators (from a statistician point of view), and hardware debugging. I think the interview went well. and apparently he did too, because later the same recruiter called me and said they wanted me to speak to their VP of development. However, I thought the recruiter's call was interesting because she seemed concerned that I was not very interested in the job. The VP of development calls asks if I spoke to two other people and I said just one of them. He then led off with why do you want this job? Then proceeded to ask me about my researcy and more behavioral questions -- and I thought my answers were fine -- but apparently he didn't like something. He ended saying it was a good talk and that he would talk with the first guy and that I would hear back soon. After this, silence. After about two weeks I wrote the recruiter and asked her if she could tell me what they were thinking and she said nothing. Considering the rapport we had after many calls and e-mails I thought it was rude to not say anything at all.

      Question 1

These are paraphrased. Could you tell me about a time when you improved something at work? Could you tell me about a time when something frustrated you at work?
