      Qualitative Researcher Interview

      24 Mar 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at EAB in Feb 2023

      Interview

I would not have made it on anyone's radar if I had not found someone inside the company who was willing to recommend me for the position. After the recommendation was submitted, I received word that my application had been reviewed and I was invited to take a test. Why is an education company using a pre-assessment (cognitive & personality) test to make decisions on hiring? These tests are ableist and discriminatory and have nothing to do with someone's ability to do a job. I have a doctorate in my field and have worked in higher education for over 20 years. With my test anxiety, I did not make it very far through the assessment portion of the test (one personality, one assessment). I was almost immediately disqualified from moving forward in the interview process with the explanation that there were more qualified candidates.

      Question 1

I did not even make it to an interview phase. I never talked to a human being in EAB. I received an email inviting me to take the tests and then received an email notifying me that I wasn't moving forward.
