      Back-end Java Developer Interview

      14 Jun 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Calgary, AB
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at EPAM Systems (Calgary, AB) in Jun 2016

      Interview

I was approached by a Recruiter from Toronto for a position in Calgary. I provided my complete recent resume and we set a time for a phone interview. During the conversation, the recruiter agreed that my work experience was clearly presented in the resume (2 years worth of experience). After five minutes talking about my resume, the recruiter mentioned they are looking for people with 5+ years of experience. Clearly, she could have known it from my resume and LinkedIn profile, from where she originally contacted me. I see two possibilities: Either the HR did a very poor screening job or she gave me a cheap excuse, instead of honest, courteous feedback. I feel disrespected by this type of behavior and it witnesses to the poor recruiting process adopted by the company.
