      SDE Intern+FTE Interview

      10 Nov 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Guntūr
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at EPAM Systems (Guntūr) in Aug 2025

      Interview

The entire process for EPAM’s Internship + Full Time Role (FTR) was conducted at KL University for shortlisted students from both our college and KL University. Pre-Placement Talk The day began with a pre-placement talk by the EPAM Talent Acquisition Team, where they gave us insights about the company, their work culture, and the technologies they work with. Round 1 – Group Discussion (GD) • Total shortlisted candidates: ~110 students from both colleges. • We were divided into groups of 10, and each group was evaluated by 2 EPAM panel members. • My group composition: 7 from KL University and 3 from our college. • GD Topic: "You are a medical team in a warzone between two countries. Your goal is to save civilians and serve the injured. What strategy will you follow to save as many people as possible efficiently?" • The discussion went well, and after 5 minutes of evaluation, results were announced. • On average, around 5 students from each group were shortlisted for the next round. Round 2 – Technical Interview In the Technical Round, the interviewer skipped the usual self-introduction and directly started with my projects mentioned in my resume. Questions asked: 1. In-depth discussion of each project: • How I implemented it. • The key idea behind it. • Drawing the interface diagram and flow chart. 2. DSA Question: Write the pseudo code for inserting a node in a Binary Search Tree (first explain logic, then write). 3. Conceptual Questions: • Explain the working of backtracking, recursion, and dynamic programming with examples. 4. SQL Queries: Given an employee table schema: • Print all duplicate rows. • Fetch the record with the 3rd highest salary. 5. Asked about each certification I mentioned in my resume — what I learned and implemented. 6. Questions about my internship and some Java basics. My TR interview lasted for almost 45 minutes. After the interview, I was asked to wait outside, and after about 15 minutes, I was called in for the HR round. Round 3 – HR Interview The HR started with: • “Tell me about yourself — from where you were born to how you got into your college.” Other questions included: • Most important decisions I’ve made in my life. • How I keep myself updated with recent trends. • Where I see myself in 5–10 years. • The most important person in my life and why. • Do I take risks? If yes, examples. • My biggest motivation. • Favorite and least favorite subject in B.Tech (and why). • My family background. • My biggest failure and how I overcame it. • Any life-changing advice that shaped my future. My HR interview lasted for almost 30 minutes. Both the Technical and HR interviewers were very friendly, made me feel comfortable, and maintained a positive environment. Finally, they informed me that the results would be communicated through our TPO.
