Interview
No interview. They were mostly interested in verifying educational transcripts, legal employment status, and aptitude. If you can't pass the certification test, you can't be a rater. They pay you for the time you spend studying the test materials.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ETS in Mar 2016
Interview
It was all online. I filled out the long detailed application and submitted my reference names. I also wrote an essay on why I thought I was qualified to be a rater.
I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at ETS (Adrian, MI) in Aug 2016
Interview
Turned in my resume online. Was emailed the next day to complete the process. After turning in some more forms online, I was officially hired, pending certification. After two days of online training, I passed the certification test and was ready to go. I did this in August, then just started this week early October.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ETS (Princeton, NJ) in Aug 2016
Interview
There was essentially no interview for the position. I applied for the position (required cover letter included) and got a response about a month or two later via email. The company lets you know whether or not they have decided to offer you employment (not guaranteed until you formally send them your new employee information and pass their training). Passing training is difficult, but if you focus on the rubric and how the company would score the essays, it can be done!
