I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Ebby Halliday Realtors (Frisco, TX) in Jan 2012
Interview
The interview process is very short, simply consisting of being asked why you want to be a real estate agent and whether or no you have any previous sales experience. If you have prior sales experience and the office manager thinks that you might be good at selling, you will be given a higher commission split to start out with. The type of sales experience did not matter; I had previous sales experience with a company for many years and I was given a lower starting commission split than a friend of mine who interviewed with the same office manager. There is no "set" commission split; it is based upon what the sales manager thinks of you and your potential ability to sell in the future.
Spoke with someone from headquarters that then set me up to interview with office managers in the areas I was interested working in. Very easy process and the company has a great on-boarding.
