I received an email from an HR recruiter saying my resume was being considered and asking for a 15 minute screening interview by phone. I replied back via email, and after a week, sent another email and called the recruiter (the line was not in service). I emailed again and was able to get through to his voicemail and left a message. After two weeks of this I tried 1 more time and finally got through to him, and we scheduled a 15 minute call (he said "if I don't remember to call just give me a call at this number").
At the end of the call, the recruiter said that I would be reached out to about the next round of interviews including a case interview, a call with a Director, followed by a video interview if those go well. After 2 weeks of waiting to hear back, I tried emailing and leaving messages, and again never heard back.
Finally, after 3 weeks, I got an email from Anthem's automated HR system saying my resume will no longer be reviewed, which is very different from what I heard from the recruiter (who I have still not heard back from).
The whole process from the application (which I couldn't even use my normal email address because I had already applied to another company on the same database) to the lack of communication has been horrible and honestly shady - not something I would expect from such a highly regarded firm - and I don't think that I would like to work for this company even if I did get an offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Would you be willing to move to Indianapolis or Atlanta?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Elevance Health (Atlanta, GA) in Aug 2020
Interview
Was reached out by a recruiter via LinkedIn for the position then ghosted for months when told to apply. Recruiter reached out to schedule an interview. Didn't seem to even know what the position was or have my resume in front of him. Felt like a check the box exercise. Told me I would hear back in 2 weeks. Never heard back.
