I was asked to interview the day before and they mentioned that it would take place at 10am. The first interview was just a group screening- the CEO just talked at us for 10 minutes and then ended the zoom call without any of us speaking. He then called me that afternoon saying that I was one of their top candidates and that they were impressed (not sure why since none of us where asked a question or spoke) and was invited to the next round the following day at 9am. I was told the 2nd round was going to be an individual discussion and there was no need to prepare. I logged on and was surprised to see the hiring manager and another candidate. The hiring manager spoke at us for 15 minutes about the structure of the program (which seemed sketchy at best- they wanted people to be able to run their own department 8-10 months after starting) and then broke us out into 1-on-1 interviews while the other waiting in the zoom lobby. The interviewer seemed incredibly uninterested in my questions or the responses I had to his questions- he was looking around the room, picking at this nails, etc. I never heard anything back until I suddenly got an email at 7pm that night confirming my final interview the following day at noon but I never received a call or anything inviting me to move on. If I hadn't checked my email that night, I would have never known. I replied to the invitation and pulled myself out of the interview process after experiencing the lack of professionalism in the process.
