I interviewed at Elim Christian Services (Crestwood, Cook, IL)
Interview
Elim reached out quickly after resume was submitted. Interview was with a team which was efficient and seemed friendly. I appreciated their time as the interview was after school hours.
I applied online. I interviewed at Elim Christian Services (Crestwood, Cook, IL)
Interview
The interview was scheduled very quickly, and the staff and interviewers seemed very friendly and interested. After the interview at home, I completed a 2-hour long very tedious online assessment consisting of several hundred questions. I then consented to an extensive background check that overstepped its boundaries for a school. The background check took 2 weeks long to complete. I didn't hear back from my interviewers after it was complete, so after a week (there was a major holiday in there so I wanted to give them time) I emailed them and all they said was "Thank you for your interest. The position has been filled already. Best of luck to you" or some BS. Lots of mixed messages, lack of accepted norms for the interview process, and a waste of my time and resources.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They wanted to know if I had experience with very specific situations that most at my point in my career would not have.
Everything was very straightforward and routine. I was asked about my experiences and qualifications, reviewed the job requirements that appear on the job listing, and was asked if I had any questions. All in all, an easy and quick interview with a quick follow up.
