I applied online. I interviewed at Elite Educational Institute (Anaheim Hills, CA)
Interview
I was a math tutor at a different branch of ELITE for several summers, didn't tutor last summer, and re-interviewed at a different branch to teach this summer. I first had to fill out some paperwork, even though I already filled out my background information online. I then sat for the screening exam. The exam was about 20 minutes, there were 15 math questions, MUCH harder than what the SAT/ACT would test, and no calculator was allowed. I also sat for a screener that was about equivalent to the science portion of the ACT. My interview was with the branch director, who was very nice. We chatted about my experience teaching and working at other tutoring companies, my educational background, and it was pretty casual overall. This process may have been easier and more casual because I had already worked for the company previously.
