      Research Intern Interview

      24 Feb 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Emily's List

      Interview

I applied for a summer internship with Emily's List and received a phone interview as I live halfway across the country from their offices. It was a conference call between an HR representative and the head of the research department, which resulted in a few awkward moments where one or all of use couldn't hear what the other had said. Overall it was a pretty standard interview, with the usual "How did you resolve a major conflict with coworkers in the past?", etc. It was a pretty standard experience and I wasn't surprised that I wasn't offered a position, but it was frustrating that I had to wait some weeks and email my contact directly to learn that I had not been selected.
