I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Energy Vault (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2023
Interview
This is the most humiliated experience I ever have. I did three interviews with the manager, CFO, one of the directors. I spent more than 4 hours with them. At the end, I was chosen. However, this is when I feel humiliated. The recruiter did not give me the salary & offers that he promised me in the first place. The salary was way lower than what he told me. I would have not wasted time interviewing with them if I know the range that he gave me was a falsify information. When I was in the negotiating process with them with a reasonable range, the recruiter and management ghosted me and went ahead with another candidate. That was very unethical. The offer was still on the table but they went straight to another candidate and blamed me afterward. First the recruiter asked what they can do to compete with the other company which I got another offer from so they can match it. He then said that he would talk to the managers and ask me to wait for him. I contacted him a day after and he did not answer me. Two days later, he said the other candidate happily accept the lower salary (even way lower than my offer) and blamed it on me because he thought I would not accept the offer. I was so upset that they did not even give me a heads up. I did not even make any decision and they ghosted me. Very unethical hiring process. I would stay away from this company.
