I recently interviewed with Enerzinx in Bangalore for the position of Power System Software Engineer and had a disappointing experience. Here’s a detailed review of my interview process:
Initially, I was asked to prepare a presentation on the projects I had done in my previous organization. I invested around 2 hours into making the presentation. When the interview began, I started presenting my work. Unfortunately, it became clear from their responses that they did not understand any of the projects I presented. This made me feel like I had wasted my time.
As the interview progressed, it became evident that the interviewer was not prepared. He kept asking basic questions, ones that wouldn't even be asked in a fresher's interview. After answering these basic questions, he asked another question that wasn't clear to me. When I requested him to repeat it, he lost interest in explaining it further. This made me feel that they were not serious about hiring and were just wasting my time.
Additionally, the interviewer had a strong South Indian accent, which made it difficult for me, a non-South Indian candidate, to understand. On top of this, they had no relevant questions about software development or coding, which is critical for a Software Development role. It seemed like they had no idea about hiring for this position. While they might excel in electrical design and renewable energy projects, their approach to hiring software developers was lacking.
Overall, I felt like I wasted 2.5 hours with Enerzinx Bangalore.
