I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Enlighten Designs in Mar 2019
Interview
I found the vacancy on Seek, and applied through Enlighten's website. A day later, I received an email, the automated response type, asking me to complete a Codility test. I did pass the test and after a few days I was invited for a phone interview. The lady who interviewed me was Michelle; she was very nice. I know I did pretty good during that interview as she even said so when I asked for feedback . She then asked me if I can be available for another round of screening the following day. I could not make it as I haven't filed for a leave at my current work for that day, so she then told me that they'll be arranging an alternative time for that screening. After a week or so without hearing anything from them, I emailed them to follow up about that rescheduled stage, but didn't get any reply on the days that followed.
About two weeks after my follow up email, they decided to ring me but I wasn't able to answer their call as I was at work. They left a message telling me to call them. I have made about ten attempts to call them but either the line was busy or no one was answering. It was frustrating until someone finally answered the phone, only to tell me "this isn't a good call", and I was told
that they have already decided to hire someone else.
I wish they could've just told me before that they can no longer reschedule the screening stage I was supposed to do, so I wouldn't have wasted my time being anxious about it. Or I wish they could've just told me so much earlier that they have already decided on someone else to take the role. Or I wish they could have just emailed me about not being accepted for the role.
