Was contacted by the recruiter and asked to take the online recorded pre-interview interview. I declined. I thought it was dehumanizing and that they were profiling me. The recruiter's manager called me back to try to persuade me to do the online taped interview and I expressed my concerns with being taped. I think it is a terrible idea that a company uses a technology like this. What is the purpose?? Have you asked yourself that? what do they do with the tape? Why do they need to video and audio tape someone? why not just have a conversation? After all, I am evaluating them as much as they are evaluating me.
