The communication for this process was horrendous!
I applied for the role, went through a recruiter and hiring manager phone screen then an onsite like usual and they went with another candidate - it happens.
The recruiter then reached out to me about another HR Program Manager role that one of the interviewers wanted me for. He made it sound like it was a done deal but I still spoke to the manager and she also left me with the impression that I had a verbal offer following that LONG conversation.
The communication of this process was dreadful - if they were still interviewing candidates then they should have said so but they didn't - they were talking about me in the role that they were going to level up for me. Then after a week, it turns out that I have to interview with another person and officially apply for this role (as if I'm not already in their ATS); not to mention that they have another candidate.
It took weeks to get a straight answer on anything - and it was fine that I wasn't the candidate they went with, but they should've been upfront with me on the process: that they were interviewing others for the new role and been respectful of my time and cut me loose when they weren't actually interested.
Overall a heinous candidate experience that the company, recruiter, and manager should be ashamed of.
