Equinox usually "interviews" group exercise instructors by way of group audition. A class is assembled of all prospective instructors and each person has the opportunity to teach anywhere from 5-15 minutes (depending on the modality) of one continuous class. Meanwhile, a number of employees (group fitness managers, managers, other long-time group ex instructors) are watching and filling out assessment forms.
