      Property Manager Interview

      17 Apr 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Cincinnati, OH
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at EquityTeam (Cincinnati, OH) in Mar 2022

      Interview

Honestly, I was pretty bummed out about this interview. The CEO reached out to me after I applied for a property manager job. I was really excited about this opportunity but then the entire interview turned into a discussion about reporting. I work as a developer currently and I was really interested in transitioning to property management, but it seems he had no intentions of hiring me as a property manager. He even asked if I could do report development for them part-time instead in addition to my current day job… He basically just asked for free reporting advice under false pretenses and never followed up with me afterwards. Overall, I can’t say if this would be a good company to work for or not but it was just really disheartening and unprofessional to not be taken seriously for the job I applied for.

Sorry we're just replying to this. We never were notified about this review and just recently stumbled upon it. To reply to your comments..... Upfront, we made it clear that you were not qualified for this position, but we had some projects we were working on where the experience you DID have (data), could have helped us, so we reached out to have a discussion to see if it could lead to a win/win situation. It did not, for many reasons, one being we were not impressed with you in the interview b/c you came off like you were too good to work for us, and you made it clear you just wanted someone to teach you this business from scratch simply because you were interested in it. We were very transparent and gave you the professional courtesy to speak to you to see if there was an opportunity. There wasn't. How that would warrant you calling us "unprofessional" or you running to the internet to leave an "anonymous" negative review on us is a mystery. It's unfortunate the internet provides a way for people to leave reviews on businesses but doesn't allow businesses to review people. Reputations are important, and we take ours very seriously. I encourage you to take this review down b/c it's unreasonable to give us a negative rating based on the facts of this situation. If you choose to keep it up and try and tarnish our reputation, at least put your name behind it.
