The interview with the hiring manager was great. Great conversation about job and responsibilities. We seemed aligned on the actual job. The level up interview had much different expectations than the job description and hiring managers expectations. These companies are effectively trying to pay far less for more making job postings that are looking for pay band down and expecting you to be driving changes like a c-level executive. This disparity is an example misalignment and unnecessary oversight from the level up supervisor.
