I had a screening that asked personality based questions, then a 15 minute interview. It was somewhat untraditional, as they asked questions about comparing personality traits to your best friend. They also asked more traditional questions, such as “what is the best day at work for you and why?” and “what is the least ideal work day for you, where you feel frustrated & maybe even uninspired?” The interviewer lead me to believe I would escalate to the next phase, but alas I was not. Very sweet folks though!

Question 1
What is the least ideal work day for you, one where you might feel frustrated or unmotivated?”
I did not have an official interview, simply a screening on Zoom. I had my camera on but the person screening me did not. I was instructed when I scheduled this screening to not ask questions about the job because this wasn't an interview, but I ended up being prompted for questions at the end. Some of the questions felt like a prank, and the person running the screening informed me they had no knowledge about the position and no say in whether or not I would be hired, and also did not really acknowledge or respond to my attempts to connect with them on a human level. There was a very dystopian vibe about this screening. I ultimately was not offered a follow-up interview or a position, but the way some of these questions were phrased (very absurd and over-the-top) leads me to believe I would not accepted if I had been.

Do you think it's more important to focus on the details or on problem-solving? Which of those two do you need to improve upon more?
I applied online. I interviewed at Everlight Solar (Louisville, KY) in Oct 2025
Interview
I just started the process I had to take an assessment that took around 20-30 minutes and I do my pre screening interview tomorrow so let’s see where this goes
Odd, seemed culty. I interviewed with a girl named Delaney. She briefly turned her camera on, and then turned it off "to save bandwidth". Started the call saying she has no details on the position and her only job was to facilitate the screening. Asked personal questions vs details about my work history. Seemed culty.
