I applied online. I interviewed at Evidence Action in Feb 2026
Interview
The interview process was well-organized and supportive. First, I had a 45-minute one-on-one interview with my direct supervisor. After that, I received a writing assignment to complete within a few days. The team informed me in advance before sending the assignment, which helped me plan my schedule. In the next round, I had a 60-minute team interview with two team members.
Both interviews were conducted in a very supportive atmosphere. The interviewer asked thoughtful questions and gave me time to think before answering. The questions were closely related to the internship tasks, including literature reviews, how to critically assess scientific evidence, global health work experience, research experience, and typical questions such as self-introduction and reasons for applying. They also asked follow-up questions to better understand my answers.
My advice is to answer difficult questions step by step so the interviewers can understand how you think through problems logically. It is also helpful to have some background knowledge in cost-effectiveness, public health, literature reviews, and evidence-based decision-making.

Question 1
How would you critically assess scientific evidence from a literature review and decide whether an intervention should be prioritized?

Interview
They have shortlisted my CV when I applied to the position. HR Called me and discussed about my journey so far and the salary i am getting in particular. On clearing this, they shared an assignment on the real scenario and asked to submit the complete report in 3-4 days of time. After 8 to 10 days, they informed that assignment was fine and I was moved to interview one by the panel. The interview was nice, this was a mix of technical and general scenario based questions.
A very data heavy but totally artificial case study that could not have been completed in the time they suggested allocating. No compensation offered for several days work. No feedback after submission.
