I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Exactal
Interview
First, one of their Senior Software Engineers called, we had a short phone call talking briefly about tech and methodologies. Then scheduled an on-site interview, accompanied by an additional dev manager.
I was handed with some tech questions related to C#, front-end and database. After solving the questions, we started talking. The manager started the interview with some open questions. Later after talking about Agile, my past experience and ideas, he sensed we had some idea conflicts about how dev works, he cannot even hide the display of contempt from his face. He kept chasing those questions, we spent much less time discussing the tech questions.
To me the interview is completely off the topic, the tech questions were drawn from a database. Their dev didn't view those questions beforehand, not well prepared at all. The manager dominated the interview into an ideology/culture test, to me they were just trying to find an "IT dog". I'm clearly not the type.
