I was called by a recruiter named B (I'm not going to reveal their names!), who said I would be eligible for a position for a Jewelry company that they were hiring for. I came in for an interview a few days later, I was asked to fill out paperwork, which lasted like 40 minutes.
When I finally got in for the interview, I was sat down with someone else named T. T was very nice and down to earth, she thought it was funny when I had said this other staffing agency I tried was as useful as a potato. She asked me some questions and she told me about a different place, a photography company that was hiring 4 different positions (3 of them, I was all eligible for.). She told me to call every week to check in, and they would be interviewing in mid March.
I called every week and at some point, T went on vacation and I would talk to B instead.
By the time the beginning of March started, I called them up.. and B answered she told me that the company they were affiliated with decided to cut ties with them and hire their own staff. B said she would try to find something similar for me in the same area; I wasn't sure if they were saying it to make stuff up or if they were telling the truth. But one thing was certain, I got so pumped up for this job (One of the positions was Graphic Design, which I went to college for so I was excited for this), that I didn't apply for anything else for a month.. So I was just like, I wasted all of this time for nothing!! I decided I would not bother with them anymore and just apply for jobs myself like I was doing before, in which I get better results anyways! So, they were just as useful as a potato too!
