I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Express Logistics
Interview
Met with two Sales Managers, they were awesome. Went through the normal questions; sales experience, CRM experience, phone experience. If it's going well they will give a brief tour, beautiful building, cool atmosphere. They even let me sit in on an employee in this position making calls. Which was awesome to be able to ask them questions you may not ask in formal interview.
From there it was pretty quick to get a meeting with the CEO Chad, this is where it went bad for me, but shouldn't for you! Chad was great, professional and friendly. He doesn't care about your experience he wants to know you. We were chatting a lot, felt like he'd be great guy to grab a beer with. That's when he laid the bad news on me. "I'm worried you're too nice for this position" I was mad at the time, looking back he was right. Honestly best outcome for me. But if you want this job, be ready to blow him away with sales mindset, Not friendly mindset. When he asks how much money you want to make tell him "I want to make 150k a year" don't be afraid to say that. On top of that say "I'm going to make us so much money" he a total salesman!
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Express Logistics (Urbandale, IA) in Mar 2023
Interview
Very thorough. They want driven like minded individuals. They hire people from all types of backgrounds and work place history; as long as you have the hustle mindset. The first interview was over the phone and the second was in person. I was offered my position a day later.
