Applied online, took an assessment, eventually got in touch, even indicated they were keeping the position open----overall it seemed to be fine, other than the interviewer seemed to endlessly be looking for ways to trip me up/play with my head. Eventually he informed me the position had already been filled, but he was "filling his bench". I would've been fine with this, but then go ahead and let me know in advance, so I have the option to not put all my time, energy and resources forward for something that didn't exist. He then told me he also waited to inform me to "test me" about how I handle disappointment and then analyzed my body language to my face. I'm an adult and a professional, I don't need someone to treat me otherwise, look to play head games and then jerk me around.
