I received a call from a consultancy to apply for a job with ExxonMobil. I told them about my current compensation and asked if Exxon is fine with it then only I will apply. They said they have checked and told they are fine with it and I applied.
After more than one month Exxon scheduled the first technical interview which went positive. Then after another 3weeks of first interview they scheduled another two rounds of interview for technical and behavioural. I cleared them too. Interviewers during both the interviews were good. Now things started rolling fast. The very next day they sent an email asking for background check docs and expected compensation details. I cleared the background check and sent the details about my expectations which was nothing but just a hike as per market standards. Now the next day they sent another email and called as well asking me to go for a medical checkup. During this Covid time I risked myself to go for the medical to a lab and cleared the medical too. Till this point I was confident as I thought if they are not fine with my current remuneration and expectations why they would sent me for medical.
But sad to say, after clearing everything from my side they suddenly became numb. It's been a long I haven't heard anything from them after repeated follow-ups.
Just a suggestion to the HR Department, if you are not confident on yourself then don't just waste the candidate's time. Atleast be ethical enough to provide the candidate a feedback who invested his/her valuable 3-4 months time and energy for multiple interviews and checks.
