I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ExxonMobil in Sept 2011
Interview
Actually the job description was Ph. D engineering position in our university career center website. The interview lasted 45 minutes and the interviewer was very nice. I was asked the details of my research work listed on my resume. And of course, the behavior question, such as what was the biggest challenge in your life and give an example, describe an example of problem solving ability, and example of working on a project in a team. In the end, I asked the interviewer some questions about the structure in his department. In general that was a pleasant meeting.
