I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at FactSet (Boston, MA) in Feb 2022
Interview
Applied online but also had a short conversation with an employee who gave me a referral. This was for a sales/BD internship for the summer of 2022.
The first stage of the application process is to do an online test. While I haven’t been rejected yet, I haven’t heard back yet and its been a number of months since I did it so probably not good news. The online test tests basic reading comprehension, logic, data analysis. A sample of one of the questions below:
Jessica has 4 shoes, two of the shoes are blue and two of the shoes are red, half of the shoes are right footed shoes. If all three of the statements are a fact, which of the following statements must also be a fact [insert logical extrapolations]
You get it right? A little like GRE or GMAT questions. Anyway, I did fairly well on this portion I think, or at least I didn’t find it too hard, but I’m generally good at this type of assessment. However once I finished, the platform told me I had left a number of assessments undone, and then it logged me out immediately. I get the feeling that there may have been a technology issue here which left me unable to complete the rest of the assessment, but maybe they really just didn’t like my profile. The point is, if you have any technology problems, reach out to someone earlier rather than later. I would have but I didn’t care about this position too much, and I have already accepted an internship offer elsewhere, so it doesn’t mean much to me.
BTW this position i listed in Boston since that's the office i was interested in, but for factset's summer internship i believe they take a number of interns for this role out of different offices, such as new york, texas, boston, etc
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FactSet (London, England) in Jan 2018
Interview
It was a one-on-one video interview. The interviewer had a copy of my C.V and asked me basic questions about my previous experience.
Interviewer was nice and friendly and the interview was quite relaxed and semiformal
