      Interview

Very negative experience First interview with HR to get to know the company, etc, informal and interesting. Second round with the hiring manager, giving more details about the position and team. The HM explained how the next two steps would be (interview with other EMs, then technical challenge), and the preparation for the latter could already be started. HM mentioned the plans of filling up the position asap. Third interview was ok, but a little weird, as the EMs didn't seem to communicate well between them. After that step, never heard back from anyone in the company (despite a couple of emails sent to HR and HM within weeks), being in the end completely ignored/ghosted, and not even understanding why. I found it to be quite disrespectful (I have been into many interview processes, as interviewer and interviewee, and have never seen such behavior). I had the chance to apply again to an Engineering Manager role with another HM a couple of months later, only for the next day to receive an automated "we're not proceeding with you". No further explanation about the past or current process whatsoever though...

      Interview

I went through a structured three-step interview process with this company, as outlined by their LinkedIn and official materials. Each step went well, with positive feedback, including a VP expressing anticipation of me joining. However, unexpectedly, the recruiter added an unscheduled interview with another director, outside the stated process (!). This last-minute meeting was rushed, took longer than planned, and I could not fully engage. Despite previous positive signals, the entire process was abruptly reversed after that step. When I asked for clarification, I received vague and inconsistent reasoning, contradicting prior feedback. Additionally, internal role confusion was apparent, with comments suggesting misaligned responsibilities. Combined with indications of a high-pressure environment and lack of employee focus, the process suggested a disorganized and inconsistent approach to hiring.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Factorial (Madrid) in Feb 2022

      Interview
