This began with a junior level "screener" phone call - very scripted and non specific in terms of information relayed. Any questions I had were "we are looking for good people with relevant experience". I sort of blew this off after that call because I didn't get a good vibe. But then, I get a call back, to coordinate a call with the Hiring Manager. Great, I thought, lets see where this goes. In reading other's experience's here, It appears I'm not alone. It just got weirder. Guy calls me up....seems very sedated...not engaging, but again, "I'll see where this goes". He then asks me about my experience and why I think it would be a good fit for the role. Well, after providing generalized info on my experience, I also asked him questions about the role, and what he was looking for. Again, very vague responses....often followed by long pauses. At one point, I asked "hello?, are you still there?". All this to say, that is where this ended. Never heard back and honestly would have declined. There was nothing to connect to what they were looking for, what the job day to day was going to be, etc. Most bizarre interviews I think I've had in my 20 year career.
