The recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn and I was super excited to be considered for this role. Then this was the process: Recruiter screen, Hiring manager screen, in-person panel interview. It did not end up being a positive experience.
The recruiter screen was great and then I did a virtual hiring manager screen. That's where things shifted. I thought the screen went well until I was told that they felt I was more Director level vs. Sr Director level and provided no real context as to why. When I asked if the remit would change, it did not. Perhaps they wanted to just pay me less?
Then I did the in-person panel and that was a mess. Aside from the hiring mgr, I had zero idea who I was meeting with. Then I got random people thrown at me while I sat in a conference room.
I was told I did not move forward after that and when I asked for feedback, I was ghosted. And not surprisingly it's been a few months and the role is still open. The team has no idea what they are looking for, maybe a unicorn.
DO NOT INTERVIEW THERE. It's a waste of time and frankly the business model is being overtaken by better competitors (e.g. - eBay, Whatnot).
