I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Austin, TX) in Jan 2013
Interview
Met with Manager and he told me I had to take an online test to see if I would qualify. Turned out he made me take the test so I was in his system and couldn't work for another Farmers manager.
Was basic and tedious asking me questions about my prior work history so make sure that I understood the job role. Overall it was not difficult to formulate an answer to the questions.
The interview was professional and conversational. The agent clearly explained the role, expectations, and growth opportunities. I was asked about my communication skills, work ethic, and goals. Overall, it felt welcoming, informative, and focused on long-term potential rather than pressure
Detailed with multiple calls. Explained in detail the onboarding and training processes including the financial obligations with starting an agency. There was a personality test to help determine fit with the company.
