tl;dr - I was ghosted and then told me they hired an internal candidate. I applied online and they promptly reached out to me to do an interview. The position required 4-5 years of experience in the field, and I had no experience, so I thought I was pretty lucky to be selected. They told me to go down to the operations center for an interview later that week. I was interviewed by two people, the manager and her boss. They were both professional. I thought I did well during the interview, and I had asked them if they had any reservations or hesitancy about hiring me. They said they didn't, so I thought I was good to go. They told me they would let me know the week after if I had been selected. I had heard nothing -- pretty much ghosted me. Then I had to email the original point person, which took about a day for them to reply -- to tell me an internal candidate was selected. So they pretty much had already pre-selected someone for the position. Great. Overall, not pleased. I felt like my time was wasted. Other candidates too, since they had told me they had interviewed others as well. Wouldn't interview for this company again.
