      I interviewed at Fike

      Interview

I am writing this review to highlight a lack of transparency and consistency in the recruitment process at Fike Corporation for the Field Service Technician Italy role. Initially, after the interview process, I received very positive feedback. I was explicitly told via email that I was the "second runner-up" and that it was a "very close call" because they liked my technical knowledge and profile so much. I was even asked if I wanted to be kept posted for future or changing situations. However, when I followed up shortly after seeing the position still active/reposted, the narrative changed completely. I was then told that they would not be progressing because the role required a "slightly different profile" due to "team integration and operational configuration." The Issue: It is incredibly frustrating and feels like being misled when an organization tells you that you are the top alternative one week, only to claim you don’t fit the "team structure" the next. If my profile truly didn't fit the team's needs, I should never have been told I was the runner-up in a "close call." This level of inconsistency is disrespectful to a candidate's time and professional expectations. It suggests that either the initial feedback was insincere or there is a serious lack of internal alignment. Advice to Management: Please be honest and consistent with your feedback. Providing "fluff" compliments to reject someone, only to contradict them later with vague structural excuses, creates a very poor employer brand.
